About the Photographer
Thank you for visiting my web site. I hope you enjoy the results of my photography as much as I enjoy taking the pictures. Often, as I watch nature at work or play, I find myself so absorbed in the drama unfolding before me that I nearly forget to take the picture. The photos you see on these pages are the shots I remembered to snap.
I was raised in a small, rural community in the foothills of eastern Tennessee, from which the name of my company derives. While a student at college, I followed the lead of numerous others and made the "annual pilgrammage" to Florida for Spring Break. I was so impressed with the natural beauty of the state that I promised myself that if the opportunity presented itself, I would make the Sunshine State my permanent home. Years later, my ship came in. Currently, I divide my time between Tallahassee and Jacksonville.
Rather than attempt to extol any virtues I may have as a photographer, let me simply say: Mother Nature did all the hard work; I was merely present to take the picture - and remembered to do so!
